At WCH, we don’t just build homes — we build communities. That means we’re also community members everywhere we work, which is why giving back is a vitally important part of who we are.

We’re proud to support several organizations in order to help families thrive in the communities we love.

Dominican Vision Inc.

Walter and Carol Warkentin – along with a board of directors – founded Dominican Vision in 2005 in order to help families living in the Sosúa region of the Dominican Republic. Dominican Vision provides aid in the form of education, medical assistance, food distribution, and home building. Each year, a group of WCH tradespeople generously donates their time and materials to build a home for a Dominican family in need.

CancerCare Manitoba

WCH supports CancerCare fundraising events related to men’s cancer – especially colorectal cancer, which has personally affected WCH team members. We believe strongly in the work that CancerCare Manitoba does for families affected by this disease, and we are very grateful to the staff who have helped us and allowed us to be a part of their efforts.

Calvin Christian Schools

WCH believes in empowering students with education and experiences that will help positively mold their futures as motivated, well-educated young adults. We provide financial support to these Winnipeg schools so that their buildings, resources, and the programs they offer can provide high-quality schooling to kids.

Stonewall community events

We love to support the communities in which we build. WCH supports Stone Ridge Meadows’ annual block party, Stonewall Quarry Days, and Quarry Ridge block parties. It is our absolute pleasure to help with these fun events that bring families together and create stronger communities.

École Stonewall Centennial School Space Club

WCH helped the school’s Space Club to purchase equipment in order to foster a love and enthusiasm for astronomy among students, and expand Stonewall Centennial’s offering.
